The Structure of the NESTA PFT Exam
The NESTA Executive Certification Board oversees a Job Analysis Task (JTA) Report that defines and analyzes the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies required to be a safe and effective personal fitness trainer. The results of this report determine the subject domains and their respective weights on the NESTA PFT Exam.
This process is updated on a regular basis to ensure that NESTA graduates are up-to-date on the demands of the profession. The most recent JTA was performed and new test items (questions) written. The new version of the exam will be launched on July 1, 2018. Please see below for the differences between the current version and the new one starting July 1.
