NESTA Executive Certification Board
The Executive Certification Board (ECB) is the governing body of the Certified Personal Fitness Trainer Program, also known as the PFT. The ECB is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the PFT exam, allocation of funds, policies and procedures, disciplinary action, selection of personnel and operational processes. The ECB is not responsible for the accreditation of educational or training programs leading to the certification.
In accordance with the Executive Certification Board Policy Manual, the ECB will never financially benefit from the PFT exam, PFT courses of study, test preparation kits or training materials. The ECB meets throughout the year to set policy, evaluate certification procedures, vote on issues that pertain to the PFT exam and develop ways to promote the fitness industry. The Executive Certification Board is an advisory body only and has no fiduciary responsibilities.
